An important way to combat gastritis is through a therapeutic diet. A gentle meal menu helps to reduce the stress on the stomach and prevents irritation of its walls. The exact list of foods that can and cannot be eaten depends on the type of disease and the characteristics of its course.
How to eat with gastritis of the stomach?
With low acidity of gastric juice, a diet for gastritis is relevant, which excludes mechanical irritation of the diseased mucous membrane and stimulates secretion, it is called table number 2.
There are also desserts on the dietary table for a sick stomach. The list of allowed sweets includes: marmalade, marshmallows, jellies, souffles, puddings, unleavened cookies. If tolerated, you can pamper yourself with condensed milk or a scoop of homemade ice cream.
What to exclude from the diet for gastritis?

What you can eat during an exacerbation of gastritis
In case of acute gastritis, fasting is often shown on the first day, but after 12-24 hours one should not refuse to eat. In the first week, mainly light liquid food is consumed: mashed vegetable soups, slimy porridge in water (oatmeal, rice).
For 3-4 days of the diet with exacerbation of gastritis, you can choose the following menu:
- jelly;
- steamed omelet;
- mashed potatoes;
- curd soufflé.
When it becomes easier and severe discomfort in the stomach disappears, you can eat steamed meatballs and cutlets, white bread crackers, boiled pieces of lean meat and fish, biscuit biscuits. After about 2 weeks, meals are organized according to the principle of diet No. 1 or No. 2.

Several diet recipes
Steamed fish cutlets.
For gastritis, dietary recipes involve the use of lean fish. It is useful to eat hake, cod, pollock at least 2-3 times a week. You can buy ready-made fillets. Otherwise, you need to cut the fish carcass.
- 200 g fish fillets;
- 50 g white bread pulp;
- 3 tablespoons of milk;
- 1 egg white;
- 15 g butter;
- salt to a minimum.
Stir the pulp soaked in milk into the fish fillet. Salt the mass, scroll twice in a meat grinder. Add protein to the minced meat, mix well. Form small patties and steam. Pour melted butter over the dish before serving.
Steamed omelet.
Quail eggs are a great alternative to eggs in an omelet. They are considered very useful, and they also turn out to be more delicate.
- 10 quail eggs;
- 3-4 tablespoons of milk;
- 2 teaspoons of flour;
- a pinch of salt;
- vegetable oil (for greasing the mold).
Whisk several times and eggs are mixed. All other ingredients except oil are added to them. Many gastritis recipes allow for the use of finely chopped herbs, so dill can be tossed in for smell. The mass is lightly whipped and poured into a greased form, cook in a steam bath.
Baked apples with cottage cheese.
This recipe is suitable even for those with acute gastritis. In case of illness, especially in the first weeks, the list of permitted fruits is small. As a rule, these are baked bananas and apples. The dessert is easy to digest and contains pectin, which improves digestion.
- 3-4 apples;
- 100 g low-fat cottage cheese;
- 1 egg yolk;
- 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar;
- 10 g starch.
Wash the fruit well, cut off the tops in the form of "lids". Using a small spoon, carefully remove the seeds and some of the pulp in a circle. The apples must have walls of at least 1 cm.
In a filling blender, combine cottage cheese with powdered sugar, yolk and starch. If available, add vanilla sugar. Tightly "stuff" the apples with the sweet mass and put in a mold with sides. In the oven, turned on in advance at 200 degrees, the dessert must be held for 20-25 minutes. Pouring some water into the bottom of the baking sheet will make the baked apples more tender.
